I wonder, would this make a huge difference kwowing that in both cases I would be using the nvme disk on my device. This question due to a fresh install, while reading this remark in the documentation?

SQLite is significantly simpler. The difference seems to be if you use a remote filesystem with your large collection, you probably want MySQL (MariaDB).
