Beautiful capture. The noise deserves more attention than I gave it.

I did a normal edit, then did some silly colour stuff with tone curve.

Lovely scene!

I tried for the first time 'neural restore’s raw denoise.
Two versions, further actions the same on both.
First raw denoise at 60% second at 40%.

Hell,

I’m a beginner with Darktable.

I like the square format fir this picture.

I usually like less saturated greens, but with the birds in the white/grey/black, it lacked contrast, it was too flat.

Nice pic.
Noise does not matter, I even added some more :slightly_smiling_face:

First time attempting this type of edit in darktable:

Not exactly happy with the work. I think I need to revisit this with fresh eyes and more sleep.

Ring of Birds.

Yes; could (and should) have done a better job, but had a long 10 hour shift and it is past 12am now. lol

But even then it is a beautiful interpretation!

@my_dad Thanks for sharing. Nice image. Cute birds.

@Seb17 Welcome to the forum.

@Soupy @AtaraxicShrug The high key concepts are great and suitable for an image like this (though as Rob was saying, it might need more refinement).

I’m a bit late to the party. Anyway my try with traditional denoising:
