I want to place a copy of a RAW file into another folder. I duplicated the RAW and then selected the duplicate for the move. Both the original as well as the duplicate moved, not what I wanted.
Anyone got a better idea.

Just a quick question … did you use the duplicate function in DT… All that is is another sidecar file linked to your original… its not a copy of the raw… is that what you did??
I think to make a real copy you need to export…
Like this maybe… or just do it outside DT and import that folder after…
The proper way to copy a RAW file into another folder is “copy…” in lighttable (below, use green not red. This will copy the original RAW file AND the attached sidecar “XML” file.
Duplicate only opens another instance of “XML” (==edit) sidecar file in original folder.
