A red leaf beetle, Chrysomela populi, refracted inside a dew drop

One of my proudest moments in my (short) career in macro photography. While macro photography is difficult by default, especially so if you’re poor and you only use 40 year old manual glass, this shot was particularly difficult.

Shot in June of 2019, with a Sony a6000, 57mm of extension tubes and a SMC Pentax M Macro 4/50. Processed with RawTherapee.

I know it’s not a PlayRaw, but what do you think about rotating the image by 180°?

Yeah it’s nice. I thought about flipping it on a horizontal axis, but in the end I liked it better as shot.
