I went to see the birdie’s at the Loch of the Lowes, but there were only a couple of mallard about. So I took some landscape pictures instead.

Nice image. I wanted some contrast, so I put in the most amount of ‘toe’ I’ve ever dialed into a filmic curve, followed by a large lift of the shoulder. I also used my Nikon Z 6 SSF profile, which I think cyan-ed up the sky a bit too much, but what the hey. In rawproc:
Ah, you are one of those new fangled guys ![]()
Thank you for sharing yet another of your beautiful photographs. I doubt it is possible to improve on your original, but here is my play.
Filmulator +2.1667 EV then into GIMP. A colour “boost” using Colours/Components and defining the black and white points using Curves.
Such a nice photo. like David I didn’t think it needed changing too much so I just applied ‘white balance’ to it. In Gimp
Nah, just an old coot in his basement… ![]()
Your image gave me opportunity to further exercise an assertion I’ve been working with, that recent cameras of a single manufacturer had consistent spectral response. My rendition with the Z 6 profile rather kaboshes that in the case of the D850. I’d like to get hold of some D850 SSF data…
Thanks for this beautiful scene!
Here I used the XTrans III Provia LUT by @arangast in RT dev.
The left part of the image looks a bit strange, there is a kind of CA which I can only compensate using the Defringe filter for red colour.
