Accessing shared windows drive in Siril on silicon MacOS

I have a server in my basement I use for storage running windows 11. I can access the drive on my MacBook just fine with the finder smb server connect.

My issue is as soon as I type “smb:” in the connect to server field in the “other locations” browse interface the whole box turns red and I never get the option to connect after entering the same IP that my Mac has no problems with

Siril puts smb:\ in their tips, am I missing something?

Is the mounted drive not showing up in /Volumes?
