I spent time trying to figure this out before posting. I also searched the forum for “CR3 exiv2” but it didn’t seem to produce an answer, at least not in the first bunch of topics shown. So getting nowhere fast, I posted here. I’ve just looked up the release notes you mentioned, Release darktable 3.8.0 released · darktable-org/darktable · GitHub, and all it says searching for CR3 is that you need version
0.27.4 with BMFF support activated, which I already knew.
yes. and this was discussed to death. it was even mentioned a gazilion times that the OBS packages support it. we really do not need more threads about this.
