Show me how you’d handle a photo like this. We’ve got high contrast, and we really need to keep the detail in the snow. And yeah, strictly use AgX for this - the fewer other modules you use, the better.
Here is my edit with 13 modules including the ones that load by default. I started by setting exposure module to +2.0 EV, then AgX to sigmoid like preset, then auto tune levels and picker for pivot target output. Some local contrast module, sharpening and denoising. Done. DSC07792.ARW.xmp (9.9 KB)
Hi, this is my first attempt with AgX…

Hi Adam,
As requested, I developed it solely with the AGX module.
I think this gives you a reasonable starting point for further development.
Sincerely, Hugo.
Ya me too … I kept trying to think of the snow and detail and the minimal way to get there…The initial edit looking back might be opened up too much and all of them could be improved with some work
I tried to do as little as possible, and even turned off a couple of the modules that apply on opening the image.
15 in use in total, most effort applied using AgX. Would have been one less, but I felt the need
to crop it.
I tried earlier to experiment on an image using just AgX with the color calibration and white balance modules turned off, but that is something that’s far outside of what I could fix as it strayed very far from the intended colours.
