Another sunset to play with

Hello:

I took this sunset picture a few days ago and did my best to develop it using darktable. I was quite satisfied with the result, but I would like to see how other users approach this kind of editing and learn from it.

I have tried with art.

in particular i enabled logtone mapping, and tried to fix ca manually (btw i have never understood why there isn’t an automatic ca correction for xtrans sensor, i have made some lens profiles and values are calculated the same way as with bayer sensors), perspective and some local contrast, since you wrote sunset kodak ektachrom 100 vs film sim (wb maybe really off for a sunset anyway, i haven’t seen the real scene).

Shot with an old adapted lens?

Also are you sure x-h1 doesn’t feature in camera raw lossless compression? You would save a lot of space.

My unsuccessful attempt at this photograph - I couldn’t decide where I should put the emphasis.

Ok, lets play with a lot of drama. And a lot of masks.
