Found a trick to scale the image down before adding grain, so here’s a slightly different edit exported at ‘half size’ but without resizing the grain:

I did something unusual for me. I used filmic V7. I compared initial editing with AgX, Filmic and Sigmoid and felt the blue sky looked better with Filmic.

I prefer the clarity of the top image. Maybe it’s just me.
I tried to create a scene that seemed real to me, while keeping the saturation under control.

This area is truly special… The rocks are really red, amazingly red…
So, trust me I did not push the Saturation slider to the max.
Ok. I have seen the red rocks in Colorado, so I know what you mean. Is this more like it? It is the same as my prior post with some tweaks in Color Equalizer.

Another re-do. This time, I did not use Color Equalizer to artificially change the rocks to red. Instead, I used Filmic RGB, and when I selected Color Science of v5 and Preserve Chrominance to No, they popped from tan to red. I used only exposure, white balance, diffuse or sharpen, and filmic rgb.
