This is a question about pixel aspect ratio. I don’t know If I’m not setting something properly or if this is a bug, but I suspect it is me, since searches don’t reveal this. I use natron on Linux, Mac (latest few versions) and Win10.
When I import an images sequence (480p 854x480) it correctly sets the project aspect ratio to match (854x480, par 1) but in the read node info, the PAR is 1.00078.
then when I use a merge node I get an error warning of the PAR mismatch.
I’ve been wrestling with this for more than a year, but since I was working with NTSC video previously, I didn’t think this was an issue, and simply used the reformat and resize as necessary.
Now I’m working with square pixels and would like to know why I still get the error. A grep of the file reveals this:
“<Pixel_aspect_ratio>1.00078129768371582e+00</Pixel_aspect_ratio>”
Any way to force this to PAR 1 by default?
