Assigning Monitor profiles (Linux)

Under preferences > color management > default monitor profile, it currently says none. The dropdown box shows a few RT options, but not my calibrated monitor ICC file.

Into which folder do I place my calibrated monitor ICC profile? Or, by having ‘None’ selected, does that mean it chooses my calibrated file by default?

In Rawpedia, it would seem, under Linux, that none would mean just that. None.

“The Linux version does not support monitor profile auto-detection, but as long as you load the same ICC profile as used in calibration the colors will be managed and you will get full use of your wide gamut monitor, if you have one. If you have more than one monitor with different profiles you will have to choose a primary one for correct color and have the RawTherapee window there.”

Any clarification would be much appreciated!

Cheers.

I thought you could navigate to the folder where it’s kept. I think that’s what I did. I keep my profiles, presets, etc. in a folder labeled presets.

Thanks for that.

It doesn’t seem to give a navigate option for this setting.

@fotonut Do you see the folder next to the path in the preferences?

That might explain things… I’m running the latest dev version…

Any ideas what to do from here?
Cheers.

I think it is the same on linux and windows to explicitly choose a monitor profile:
1- choose the directory; click on the arrows at the right; choose others;a explorer window appears ; choose the directory containing your profile
2- then choose profile by clicking on arrows at right;a drop down menu appears; choose your profile.

“Directory containing color profiles” should point to the directory with your monitor ICC profile. Then you can select it in the “Default monitor profile” list. You might need to restart RT after the former before you can do the latter.
