Hi Todd.
I am brand new to this and will try to get you the info.
When the error happened I had opened a star picture I had taken and then opened the āAstro Denoiseā module. When I clicked on andy of the sliders the entire DT program shut down.
Find attached the info on my system and Graphics card. I checked and I do have Open Cl drivers.
Additional note: I also had similar issue with my laptopā¦not sure if that helps.
Additional-Additional note: I can not get this to happen this morningā¦not sure what changedā¦very frustratingā¦(havenāt checked the laptop).
Hope this helps.
Jerry.

This is being investigated in GitHub. There is a bug that will need to be fixed in the CPU path.
Hi.
Info from the laptop this morning. DT Astro Denoise is still shutting down when it is used. Open DT, select photo from Library, Select Darkroom tab, search for Astro Denoise, move the strength slider once-but if you move it a second time the program closes.
Info attachedā¦hope this helps.
@jerryc you have the minimum amount kd recommended ram. Iād avoid heavy modules, as theyāre likely to stall or crash dt.
Not saying there isnāt a bug here, jus that youāre more likely to experience DT making your system run out of ram.
Thanks for the info as @paperdigits said the laptop might struggle a bit but your desktop should be fine and I am able to trigger the crash I have 12 gen intel, lots of memory . Its just not consistent but if I leave astro enabled and keep messing around I will get a crash when opencl is not enabled⦠I am sure it will get tracked down soonā¦
Fix is being proposed.
