Are others getting this behaviour, please?..
Recently it was said you should not have Auto Fill checked when using a Lens Correction Profile, and there is an issue logged relating to this. However I’ve noticed the image is being cropped when this control is unchecked.
Checked:-
Unchecked:-
You can toggle between these two just by clicking Auto Fill. This is with RT 4.2.814 Win 64bit.
The LCP doesn’t leave any blank areas, so it seems odd for Auto Fill to be doing anything.

I’ve noticed this behaviour too. For some focal length and LCPs, it’s not only cropping, it’s also upscaling the image to its original size, when you save the image.
Just wondering if any degradation to the image is happening due to this auto fill issue? Developers and expert users - is what follows a good workaround for when an LCP is required :-
- uncheck auto fill
- apply LCP
- make adjustments knowing the image is a bit cropped but at least you can zoom in and out ok
- when you’ve finished adjusting, zoom to a low value, say 20%, and check auto fill, i.e. you’ve got back all your image now
- save image to jpg/tiff etc.
That’s where you don’t want to crop deliberately. I haven’t tried this procedure with cropping (yet).

Short reply: The order of tools in RT is hard coded. => it makes no difference whether you apply tool a before tool b or vice versa concerning output.
