As a Seestar user, I do struggle with lots of bad data. I have found that the blinking comparator included in SETI Astrotools may provide a good and quick way to asses a whole folder of FIT data, filtering frames based on FWHM, excentricity, background and number of stars. The blinking tool included as a python script in Siril, though, does not come with that analysis trove. Is there any planned enhancement?
