Bonded brothers

Yeah, the image is soft but so are they.

As you’ve seen before, this is Diesel (black) and Petrol (grey), the outside adopted strays of my daughter’s. Being basically on their own – particularly since their mother was injured and inside-adopted – they’ve really bonded as brothers. It’s sweet to see how they play together, stay together and sleep together. Not always “paw in paw” but not uncommonly, either.

This was taken in our garage the other day and all I had was my Samsung S23 FE cellphone. I shot in raw, but I’m not too impressed with the camera. The DOF is macro-shallow and Diesel’s paw is the only thing in focus. Even in the dim lighting the highlights went ballistic. But I think there’s enough character to support the image, if it can be presented successfully.

Off-topic question: Why does the post title have to be 15 characters minimum?

A mixture of darktable and differnt Gmic Filters via GIMP.
(I stumbled over the pyramid processing filter, which seems to be a mighty tool even so it’s name is quite cryptic. Have to explore it further)

They are cute. And they remind me of two dogs I recently read about. They are called Rolex and Timex; watchdogs, of course. (Not my pun.)

Let me guess – One eats steak only while the other is happy with whatever he gets?
