Bugs! My first attempt at insect macro photography

Having recently put together a DIY flash diffuser, I thought I’d have a go at some insect macro photography.
Canon 750D, with Sigma 105 f/2.8 Macro lens, with Raynox DCR250 clip on lens on the front (I find this easier than swapping extension tubes on and off)

Hoverfly

100% crop of hoverfly

Common Blue Damselfly (It flew off after I attempted to get closer!)

Good fun, and a nice change from doing landscape photography.

All images single shots, taken hand held, no image stacking to get increased depth of field.

Well done, I prefer the second shot, the crop. Amazing!
