butterfly on the lilac

I found it challenging to balance the brightness here. Preserving the lilacs colours while managing the overall brightness was a challenge to me. I used a combination of cc in channel mixer mode and some light painting on the butterfly.

Here is my DT 5.6 play. I created a second instance of exposure, used the marvelous AI mask to select the butterfly and lightened the butterfly. I then used color equalizer an an exposure adjustment but only for the lilac colored flowers based on the color sliders. AgX auto pickers did the rest.

I liked the original orientation, so I stuck with that and did terrible things with graduated density. Then some color LUT to bring out the violets and reduce the greens and highlights a little.
