Can Siril process .CR2?

Can Siril read .CR2 Files (from a Canon 60Da)?

When starting calibration, it produces this error msg:
“Cannot open this file in CFA mode (no data available)” (Translated from German)

Any clues? What, by the way, does CFA mean?

???

lg and thanks,
Alois

Yes it can.
But if you see this message this is because you use compression and your images are not RAW anymore.
So not good for astro images.

Thanks! But I am quite sure that I do not compress them, how could I find out whether they are maybe inadvertently somehow compressed?

And one more thing: when I load one of the CR2’s into Siril, ir shows up as B&W (“one layer”), but for sure it is from a color camera… The windows photo app shows the colors, so the file is OK, only Siril does not know how to read it.

One question mark gives rise to two of them - a chain reaction is building up!

So your CR2 work??
Well if your RAW file is displayed in monochrome this is normal. You should read Siril documentation before trying to use it. Astrophotography is very specific. Some skills are needed.
