See title - as far as I read in the documentation - I should be able to rotate masking-ellipses with strg+alt+scroll and remember doing so in the past. But no more. Anyone got an idea?
Works for me with 5.3.0+774~g2fa77de392 on Linux (Ubuntu 24.04). The cursor must be inside the ellipse.
Have you possibly defined own shortcuts overriding the default functionality ? Did you try with an empty .config ?
BTW : you linked an outdated version of the manual (3.8). Instead use darktable user manual - drawn masks
I only have to use the ctrl key in order to do that. Ubuntu 24.04.3 and dt. 5.3.0+733~gdf7df68304
Hope this helps, kind regards, Jetze
Windows DT 5.3 ctrl+click+scroll rotates for me, but I just use ctrl+drag when I want to rotate the mask
Ahhhhhhhhh - thanks! I did not know the top bar would display hints for the masks as I always have it minimized.
I never minimise the top bar because I don’t remember all the hints. Also the hints only reveal themselves if you are hovering in the correct location over the mask.
