Went to another bird place with my affordable setup. It’s not quite a divebombing falcon, but the young Great Grey Owl was extra cute and talkative (the fine mesh got in the way of the pic though). Also there’s a disappointed-looking Golden Eagle.

Sleepy lodger. Pretty much a wildlife picture since I had to take out the 400mm to take that picture from the other end of the house to avoid waking him up.

Rain had just stopped and all the bumble & wood bees that were caught out were just sitting on whatever plant they found themselves on until dry(?). This little one would slowly crawl around the stem whenever it could see the camera lens. I decided to stop harassing the poor thing and just take the shot without its little face

Very beautiful. Especially the first one. Can you elaborate about how you did it and how you edited it? Alternatively, a play raw would be a great adventure for many, I think.

Sure thing. When I have some free time today I will create a play raw with some explanation of what I did. I used the experimental spektrafilm module, and I don’t know if the XMP of that edit still works on the most recent version of the module. Maybe I will to re-create it.

Did you edit the HEIF or exported to raw?
Mostly exported RAW but the hazy one of the guy running is No Fusion’s HEIF+, which seems to be RAW with their filters applied as it’s still 48MP.
OK, I have never tried opening them with darktable, although I tried with Apple heics and raws and they don’t work, as far as I remember.
As soon as someone ports spektrafilm to the iPhone, that will be my favourite camera app. I guess it’s too computationally expensive even for a high spec phone.
