I’d love to just casually fire up a Jitsi meeting this Saturday (14 NOV) at 1800UTC.
I’ll use this meeting for right now to test things out so join us here:

I’ll try to throw together a slide deck as well.
We can use this as an opportunity to say hello if you’re around and to test out using Jitsi in support of recurring video meetings (and maybe some other tech as well).

If there’s problems it might make sense to also test out BigBlueButton as well. I’ll update this post with a URL if we do that.

Hi, I am not sure whether this is a good idea: could we organize monthly video meetings (where we talk about photography and open source software)? Something like a “social night (morning, afternoon, day)”? Has nobody here had this idea so far or are some already doing it? I would imagine it like this: there is some kind of program, like several people holding short presentations (5 minutes or so, the most obvious topic would be a workflow presentation), and we discuss them.
