When viewing the forum’s main page, one sees a list of topic titles and their categories. Would it be possible to align the category title to the right end of the first column, or put it in a new second column?

Ugh, I just noticed that you’re asking if it’s possible to right-align the category (not that it’s wrong). Let me check something.
I just find that far more legible.
In principle I agree that having the category below the title is somewhat distracting. However, in your screenshot I dislike having the categories bottom-aligned. My suggestion, for super responsiveness:
I prefer the current location. I like clusters of info; I don’t have to scan across the screen. My problem with the category info is its font weight and colourful box bullet. Perhaps lowering the weight or thinning the font and indenting the info might do the trick.
