Had a bit of fun with a recent sunset, and an old camera (with a very dirty sensor, oops! Feel free to use the retouch mask from my .xmp). I had two goes at it, keen to see what you come up with!
Your sensor is a mess . Cleaning isn’t that complicated.
This isn’t necessarily the edit I aimed for this beautiful evening sky, but the one I can live with, without pushing all the other dirt you haven’t already tackeled with your mask (thanks for this).
In this edit I used tone equalizer to recover the sun since it wasn’t blown. I accepted the colors for the sunset using AgX as I had no idea what colors would be correct. _DSC1595.ARW.xmp (14.4 KB)
Use ‘highpass filter’ both sliders set to the max to see dustbunnies, store as preset…
Use retouch, healing tool (red cross sign), and use circle activated while pressing ctrl key, set opacity to 100% and radius according to spot size… then click on spot and drag to similar clean place in clean sky or whatever, let go of the mouse and repeat.
I love how the clouds in this edit are now the main prominent feature and reduce the sunset to a side effect. This brings about a totally different feeling. Well done. I will download your side file later.
