color calibration default to eyedropper

Hi, I am a beginner. I am using DT 5.4. I am shooting infrared photos. Hence, I need to set the white balance for each photo. So, the original picture will be in red. I will then click on the color calibration module and Click the eye dropper tool. Usually, I saw it uses the big rectangle covering nearly 90% of the picture and then it will apply the white balance that I want. I then saved this preset
I also created the style. When I apply this style to other infrared images, it seems the color calibration being used is the color temp of the preset I saved instead of using the eyedropper tool to re-calculate the white balance.
Is there a way I can make it (using eyedropper) automatically?

I don’t think so, at least not via preset. I’d recommend setting a keyboard shortcut for the WB Eyedropper, then you’ll have it at your fingertips. Another option would be the initial workflow module.

Hi, several of us shoot infrared here in the forum. Can you share an images and more detail about your infrared setup? I find it better to set the WB in the camera, then use the “As Shot” preset in the White Balance module (and disable color calibration, as it’ll never be right).

This is one of the testing files. Using the “as shot” in White Balance, the clouds and sky are too blueish… So, I then click the eyedropper to select nearly the whole scene in WB module. It will come up white clouds and blue sky. That’s why I want to apply the eye dropper to the scene. I also try the eye dropper in the color calibration. The results are similar to white balance module.
FYI, this photo is shot using Sony NEX5N converted full spectrum + GRB3 + blue filter + red gel sheet. All these addons are non branded.
