Nah, like i said earlier, I’ve given up on it.
Started a new database for 3.8 and re-imported my images.
Having said that, yesterday i went ahead and recorded my next video using 3.9… Did exactly what i said i didn’t want to do! 
In my defence though, what i covered is not impacted by the version number.
