Crash with Markesteijn-3pass and Fuji raw file

Hi everybody,

this is my first post and first of all i would thank you everybody Hi everyone. This is my first post and first of all I want to thank everyone who participated in the creation of this beautiful software.

I’m doing some experimenting with the raw files of my new xt3 and I have a problem: Everytime i set in the “demosaic” module the Markesteijn-3pass and i try to change the value of “color smoothing” ( i read somewhere this is the best setting for fuji raw files ) Darktable crashes.

Am i doing something wrong?

I’m using version 2.6.2 on windows…

Is OpenCL activated in your user settings?

i disabled opencl and now everything seems to work

Same thing happened to me. I have integrated graphics and you need a dedicated graphics card to use OpenCL otherwise it crashes. darktable supposed to be much faster with a dedicated card and OpenCL.

Since my laptop has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card I tried to reactivate opencl support ( on my laptop is enabled by default).
I did some further research and this is what I discovered:

  • the “shedule opencl profile” is set as default on “Very fast CPU”

Both the values of “multiple CPUs” and “very fast CPUs” make my laptop crash … If I use the “default” value, everything looks ok.
