Hi,
I want to create a self-defined style to do output sharpening in Darktable.
But: I cannot create any style! I try this manual: https://www.darktable.org/usermanual/en/styles.html
I select an image on lighttable, press “create”, deselect some of the shown items, define a name and try to save the style - but nothing happens. No style name appears in styles.
Am I doing something wrong?

What version of darktable and what operating system?
Windows 10 and latest darktable, 3.0.2.
Oh no! It was a GUI thing! Two fields, name and description, and I filled in description and ignored the name field. Perhaps a hint (you are trying to save without a name) would be helpful for - ehm - special users like me 
Also, with darktable-elegant-grey theme, the labels for those items are hard to see.
Yes, very hard to see, and I think it is unexpected behaviour even in the Linux world, when a window disappears without a reaction as if the operation is executed.
