is there a certain way to make line art come out looking decent when using the G;MIC plugin? I fooled around with the settings but can not seem to get it too where it looks good enough.

You’ll probably need to share an example to help define what “good enough” is to you.
David (the dev) collaborated with artists on a few filters, so there may be some tutorials out there.
Depends on what you mean by line art. I like Engrave (under black and white) myself. Toyed with other types of line are as well. Please provide a link of the type of line are you are referring to, starman (well, GalacticDude; lol).
