Creating wider gamut G'MIC Color Presets?

If I want to try this, should I assign the sRGB profile to the .png and then convert to Adobe RGB? Sorry, that may be Photoshop lingo.

Not expert about Photoshop lingo, but that seems correct to me.

I’m reading the quote below as a sign that it won’t make the gamut any wider?

It won’t make the cube transform more accurate. But if my guess is correct, you should get a new cube applying in the Adobe RGB gamut (which is wider than sRGB one).
