crop + rotate and perspective = color shift ?

darktable 4.1.0+109~g4ea7e5d5c nightly build on Windows 11

Just came across this for the first time tonight. Everything looks normal until I enable crop AND rotate and perspective simultaneously. Very bluish cast, blotchiness in the water, etc.

With only one or none enabled, it’s fine:

Also, I noticed the thumbnail is OK in both, just the main preview is off. A couple of smaller JPG exports seem to indicate exports are OK.

Neither module enabled:

Both modules enabled:

Any ideas?

Maybe you still have the crop&rotate module enabled and active (I mean ready to crop some areas) when you see the color shift? I’m thinking about that because when cropping some slow modules are just pass-through to make the cropping fast.

(seems not the case as in your screenshot it seems that the module is collapsed)

I would try using something closer to current master. I wonder if the cache work might also play a factor.

I’ll upgrade today and test again. I had run into some preview corruption with the latest version so I backed off a rev or two, but will try again.

To Pascal’s question, I had both modules collapsed and was just toggling each one off and on with their power buttons. It consistently produced the color shift.

Despite my answer earlier this morning, I think I’ll wait until Bill releases his latest build tomorrow and upgrade then. I’ll post an update afterward.
