I’m using one of my cameras, a Nikon D5100, for product photography. Everything is shot under the same lighting conditions. Would there be any advantage to creating an in camera preset using the X-rite color checker card over using the profiles within RT that match my camera model?

If you use the same lens as well, then yes you could produce a high quality for your camera - if using the XRite profiler I think the profiles are .icm format though I might be wrong as it’s not something I ever bother myself.
Yes, Andy, .icm. I do use the same lens. AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED. I will give it a try.
