I’m using Darktable 4.6 on Windows. My catalog is very large (150K pics) Importing new pictures is painful. I really need to use more catalogues and I wonder if it would be better to have thumbnails in another HD. Can I do that?
Is there a clear video, somewhere, of someone who had a problem like mine and found a solution (multiple catalogues)?
P.S.: it’s a shame recursive folder importing is not working on 4.6 please someone fix this!
You could run multiple libraries, I think what you are referring to as catalogues…
Simple example from the past is one user kept personal and work in two different libraries…
Just start Dt and point it to a new library…

I believe cache is the one to relocate thumbs…

I was just recently creating issues. It may be fixed if you are using a recent master from the last few days… or something older…
Already fixed. Either use the daily build from github/the weekly ‘insider’ build from @wpferguson/build it from source yourself, or wait until 4.6.1 is out.
