Yes, but only if you build a Release. It seems most packaged versions build a RelWithDebInfo, so -O2. By the way, Release also sets fast-math and a couple of other potentially harmful flags that relax IEEE floating point arithmetic compliance for the sake of speed.
My understanding is that AVX512 is available only on Intel Xeon (and not the mobile workstation kind).
