Darktable crashing when trying to do "Tethered shoot"

I’m new to Darktable and I’ve just been able to connect my camera (Cannon EOS 2000D, which shows up as EOS 1500D in darktable) to darktable. I’ve managed to “Copy and import from camera” but I would like to do tethered shooting. However, everytime I click on “Tethered shoot” in de import menu or in the top right menu the program closes and it deposits me on my desktop. The Camera is mounted.

Could somebody give me some help?

You likely need to provide more information. Like:

  • What version of darktable?
  • What OS?
  • Source of the darktable (self compiled, flatpak, etc)
  • A log file from darktable using darktable -d common

Keep in mind that most of the tethering issues are sourced at the driver interface with the camera and not with darktable. If the interface send wrong data (eg NANs), it will cause darktable to crash.
