Everytime I use the diffuse or sharpen module and go to export the photo the database locks and the photo is no longer available

From where did you obtain darktable?
I’m running Windows 10, I’m not sure what Graphics card is in my computer but the computer is only about a year and a half old. I have 16mb ram and have been running the latest version of darktable 4.2. I downloaded this from the darktable web site. Recently I downloaded Gimp, and added a printer, that’s when my problems started.
From where did you obtain the Gimp?
I don’t think that Gimp should have any impact. The printer I suppose if it uses some memory or resources…
If you are comfortable you can create an empty folder… now copy your DT shortcut and in the copy go in and change the command line and add --configdir “path” where path is the name of the folder ie “c”\new\config" or whatever… and run DT from there and try your export…
This will run your install with clean config files and an empty database… see if it still crashes
