darktable filename/metadata issue

Hi, I downloaded and installed darktable 3.6.0 on my iMac 27 " with macOS 10.12.6. Everything is fine, but in the Darkroom I see a filename that is not real. My file is called IMG_2778.CR2, darktable displays me 20210704_0705.
I attach my settings:
Schermata 2021-07-04 alle 18.58.30
This is that I see:
Schermata 2021-07-04 alle 18.57.41
There is something wrong? With version 3.4.1 this was not the case, I saw the correct file name.
Thank you all.

If you used the import functionality in copy & import mode instead of add to library, darktable created a new copy of the file and renamed it according to the rules in preferences → import → session options → file naming pattern.

Two ways to verify:

  • what do you see in the image information module (lighttable, bottom left, you may have to scroll)? Here’s an example from my library:
    image
    Note the path: /home/kofa/Pictures/csalad/2020/2020-10-08-Hasliberg/kofa/.
  • did darktable create an whatever.CR2.xmp file next to your original whatever.CR2? If not, a copy was created (to find out where, see above: preferences and image information).

Solved, I used the import functionality in copy & import mode instead of add to library.
Thank you so much.
