When culling I use a filter which is set to show all photo’s being RAW and having no stars. Then I press Shift-W to have a permanent Full Preview. There I press ‘r’ or the number of stars I want to apply.
Works like a charm! Only the overlay hinders/distracts me somewhat. So I thought there might be a way to disable it. But no seems to be the answer. There are overlays to disable but I have failed to find a way for this one.
It took me a little while - several readings - to find out that the settings under the star differ when having a different size of thumbnail and again that in Full Preview I could press Ctrl-Shift-T and get the right setting. Clever design by the way!
