Assistance required for installation of Darktable on OSX Mojave - Have run the standard format to install and then receive prompt to update the software but no explanation to where the update is or how to install - This happens with Darktable 3.0 and 2.4

Where are you getting these installers from? 3.0 and 2.4 are both old. Please try the latest 3.2.
Tried the latest from Darktable website - same issue / schema .config needs update - click update and nothing. Any ideas >?
Hi, may help deleting (or renaming) the darktable folder in ~/.config and restart darktable.
Can you be more specific? What does the dialog say?
First dialogue box notifies.
we have an updated performance configuration logic - executing that might improve the performance of Darktable.
This will potentially overwrite some of your existing settings - especially in case you have manually modified them to custom values.
Would you like to execute this update of the performance configuration
Second dialogue box - the schema has to be upgraded for
users/ (name /.config/darktable/library.db
do you want to proceed or quit now to do a backup
Neither of these boxes trigger a response if I click yes or no.
The database upgrade can take a few.minutes, depending on the size of your database.
