darktable MIDI Controller Question

Hi folks,

I have been in the process of setting up my LoupeDeck+ to work with Darktable and so far things are going well, however for the life of me I cannot figure out how to resolve one issue:

Whenever using an encoder (suppose we are talking about the Exposure knob) you can define the steps in which it modifies values. This always works correctly in the down direction, however anytime I turn it in the opposite direction it goes to the max of the scale in whatever is being modified. For example, I can precisely dial exposure downward in any increment I would like, but any time I turn the knob up it goes to +4 exposure with the tiniest of turns. This makes ‘fine tuning’ exposure quite difficult as any time you go too dark, you need to essentially start from the top again.

I am running into the same issue for any of the encoders on the keyboard (eg. Contrast, Shadows etc.). I looked through the documentation, but I cannot find any reference to this issue. Wondering if someone else has also run into this problem.

EDIT: I tried using a mapping someone on the forum had developed specific to loupedeck+ but it was exhibiting the exact same behavior for me.

Thank you!
