For all the modules clicking on the preset “hamburger” activates the fly-out menu and I can select the options…for some reason with the diffuse and sharpen module it directly selects the preset that would be located adjacent to where I click to activate the menu… I just noticed it while playing around and trying to save a preset which is now impossible as my settings get changed when I activate the menu… I was using … darktable-4.9.0+1274~g2bcfa38a34-win64.exe but I just build tonights latest… 5.1.0 and its still doing it… I tried changing themes… Has anyone seen this?? If not I will try more on my end to see what has happened and if not I will enter a bug report…
I tried to record the screen but it doesn’t pick up the menu’s so the video doesn’t show the issue…
All good suggestions but I am not aware that I changed anything. Its like the menu activates but is not correctly offset as it normally is and the single click also doesn’t just reveal the menu but it selects a preset… I might see if I can capture it on video with my phone if I don’t sort it out…
Must be a local issue on my end. I am at work so I could only download DT to the windows sandbox but the 5.1.0 nightly doesn’t show this behaviour on my work PC so it must be a quirk of something at home… sorry for the noise everyone…
Such quirks are always triggered by something. The fact that it only occurs on one of your machine does not rule out the possibility of a bug, one that manifests only under certain conditions.
No for sure you are absolutely right… I just don’t want to waste anybody’s time or be misleading. I will do some more digging…I just select to remove the previous version and install DT with the windows installer for each new upgrade when I build and that has seemed to work fine but maybe something is left behind and causing an issue…
