digiCamControl - Software For Tethered Shooting

I’ve noticed that the program digiCamControl does not seem to feature in the software section of the site.
I believe that it was originally developed for use with Nikon camera, but has expanded to include Canon and more recently Sony models as well.

I’ve not had call to use it myself yet, but thought I’d mention as it may be of use to other members of the site.

On the website it states:
Open source. The application is free to use under MIT license even in commercial applications. Moreover, you can download the source code and modify it for your needs.

That’d be here GitHub - dukus/digiCamControl: DSLR camera remote control open source software and here http://digicamcontrol.com/

Looks like windows only.

I think it sounds like a good candidate for the software page. I’ll add it in soon (unless someone else beats me to it).

Looks like windows only.

I’ve lookt into the code. It’s written in C# and uses WPF for the GUI. As WPF is not available for Linux/Mono it is not possible to run this program on Linux. (Perhaps it works with wine.)

Thanks for confirming!

Pat I see that you have added digiCamControl to the software page, but there appears to be a slight hiccup. The link behind it takes you to the Open Camera site rather than the digiCamControl one.

I think it was actually @paperdigits that added it (yay!). I’ll check it out this morning and push the right link. thanks for the heads up!

Ok, fixed and pushed - thanks again for catching that!

Oops, sorry about that! Thanks for fixing it @patdavid!
