I am trying migrate from LR to open source solutions. In first i like for Digikam for taging and managing files and Darktable for processing, but i am disesperated, all my photos are in an external hard drive and i cannot connect my folders from external device to Digikam. Teher is simple solution or i have to uninstalate the programs?
Are you using Linux, Mac, or Windows?
My photos are also on an external drive and I can see them from both digiKam and darktable.
You should navigate to /Volumes/<your disk name>/<your images folder/ and you should be able to see your images.
OK i’ ll try tomorrow, in this moment a i cannot.

Can you browse the external drive in Finder?
Yes, but i choose the photos and there is no command u option for accepting
and making the import. i have prooved with dng and jpg. Curiosly in toolbar
import is dark. I can browse clickin right over album option
