Do we expect the addition of a color correction tool using white color selection?

I am surprised that it still does not support color correction using the white selection tool like the one in Lightroom

You mean by “white selection tool” that you select a zone that you know should be white (or rather neutral) to set the proper white balance?

If that’s what you are looking for, it’s present in both the “white balance” module and the “color calibration” module (the “pipet” icon in those modules). It has been present in those modules for at least as long as I’ve been using dt (or the module exists), i.e. several years now.

How to use those two modules is described in the manual…

Welcome to the forum. You have written white selection tool and I am unsure if this is correct terminology for what you are referring to. If it is correct terminology could you please post a screen shot of the feature so I know what you are referring to. However, DT has the option to set color correction based on any target color in the color calibration module. See my screen shot where the target is set to neutral grey and if I use the eyedropper to select an area the color balance would be set to neutral grey for the selected area.

it seems you’re expecting a free lightroom clone.
darktable is different and so you need lern how to edit the darktable way.

You might spend some time with the manual darktable 4.6 user manual - darktable , PIXLS.US - Darktable 3:RGB or Lab? Which Modules? Help! or YouTube videos introducing into darktable
