Hello, at the moment I am doing tests with the reflex camera that I have, the Sony A550 and I find that the final image to export to Photoshop is very noisy. Am I doing something wrong or is the camera sensor not enough?

I add that the image is the result of stacking 96 lights (1´), 20 darks, 30 flats and 40 biases

It’s hard to tell without seeing a single exposure, the result looks indeed very noisy. I don’t know the capabilities of this camera. What lens are you using?
The lens is a Minolta 100-400 apo
96x60s= 1h36min is surely not enough integration time. You need 10h+ to get a good signal to noise ratio.
I see it’s an old camera. The focal length was measured in the image as 390mm, what was the aperture at this focal, about 6? If it’s in this range, you will indeed need many more hours

Thank you very much, i used f8, ISO 1600
f8 with an old camera is near mission impossible, you will need longer exposures, but the camera is not cooled so it’s not much of an option either
