Just to let you know that DT suddenly started to crash on export (TIFF, JPEG…). I found out that disabling OpenCL solved the problem.

Hi,
With me too, darktable always crashes when exporting images.
I cannot run a batch export of more then 4-5 images that it crashes, and sometimes even exporting 3 at the time I run into crashes. Rather annoying when you have to export large groups of files.
Besides, every time I have to reopen the program, check which was the last exported, set destinatinon folder again, and then finally export again. Time consuming.
Sad, it seems the issue is confined to a few users.

Shall I deactivate it just during export ar generally and forever?
I understood that it had positive overall benefits on speed and efficiency of the program.

You should try disabling it to see if it fixes your crash problem, if it does, then leave it disabled.
