I’ve always had a LOT of trouble getting anything useable out of darktable. Between the AgX module and the “standard workflow” at Standard Workflow - darktable.info – Mastering Darktable I can now get something worthwhile in a few minutes. Even though I have no post-grad degree and my BS was in Electronic Engineering, rather than physic or computer science. Good job, all! Thanks!

I mean my bachelor of arts is in poetry, what’s your point?
Its sad to come back two years later and make an underhanded swipe at the project.
Although I left the status change until rather late in life, I am no longer a bachelor.
But apart from that… I would say, in my humble experience and opinion that the peak of simplicity against good result is still with darktable+sigmoid. I could mostly get by without even opening the sigmoid module, albeit while admitting that I have a preset that gives Sigmoid contrast a tiny nudge.
But AgX is great too ![]()
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are happy to help anyone we can.
We hope you enjoy darktable and your hobby of photography. If you have any problems with DT, just write here or send me a private message.
