Hey I think it’s one of the reasons to do a raw edit. You can bring it to life. The raw and JPG were very dull and perhaps more “fairhful” on the day but also when some color is present we all have a sort of perceptual boost in our brains… So the perceived version might lie somewhere in between. Mine was for sure over the top and when doing those I find using negative vibrance can be applied to pull it back nicely. So in the end there is what is possible with the data coupled with the intension of the editor to make an edit that is perhaps artistic or perhaps just more eye catching and interesting or in the end perhaps just an edit to try to recapture our memory of the shot… which is apparently tough as our memory is often not the best reference :).
