Dynamic Profile Rules application in File Browser?

I use Dynamic Profile Rules extensively – one of RawTherapee’s best features in my opinion.

The following observation:

When RawTherapee starts in File Browser, Dynamic Profile Rules are not applied to the pictures. With the following consequences:

  • Exporting a picture directly from File Browser without opening it in Editor first will export it without Dynamic Profile Rules applied.
  • Changing some of the picture’s properties in Batch Editor before opening it in Editor will result in these changes to be applied, but not those of Dynamic Profile Rules.
  • If I make changes to a picture in Batch Editor and open it (via double click) in Editor afterwards, Dynamic Profile Rules will not be applied.

Effectively, this means that batch editing prevents the application of Dynamic Profile Rules and can therefore only be used if you open each and every picture in Editor before using Batch Editor.

Am I right in supposing that this is not intended behavior?

Is there maybe a workaround to batch-apply Dynamic Profile Rules to all pictures before actually beginning to edit them?

Right click -> Processing profile operations -> Reset to default should apply the corresponding dynamic profile. You can select as many photos as you want to be done at once.

(Just have to remember to do this right in the beginning, before any editing.)
