Export of a raw file as TIF into a collection

Hi all … i am struggling with this for a long time now . Not a big deal but I am wondering why this appears as follows within the Lighttable module.
Every time I export a raw file as TIF into a collection (next to the original Cr3 file ) , the tif file appears as a solid black image . Any idea why that happens ?
Tried the same with a jpeg … and the jpeg just appeared fine in the collection !
If I do transfer the tif to external editor … it appears just fine in PS .
Maybe I have a wrong preference … somewhere that I do not know ?

Any idea or help would be appreciated

This works for me on a windows computer using the lua script for eternal editors so have collection as an option. Are you also using a LUA script to export to collection?

No Terry … not that I know of ?
I just press the export button and have set the location to collection .
All is set like I would sent the image to my drive saved as TIF .
But with this it is going to collection , as I just need the image to create AI generated masks to use them as raster masks in DT .
Once I have the masks saved … I go and delete the TIF from collection , so it its only temporary file .
Just wanted to know why this is … the thumbnail is not properly loading .

Does the TIF show the correct image in another viewer?

I think there were issues where TIF files were incorrectly detected as raw, and not processed correctly. But those were supposed to have been fixed.

yes the image shows correctly in all viewers
and as said … I can open the image from DT lighttable into external editor ( PS ) with no issue .

Well at least … this is not the case here on my machine .
But as said … not that much of importance , as it is only a temporary file to create precise subject masks in PS
